This Privacy Policy explains how Wild Fynbos Prints ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our website (wildfynbos.com) and the internal tools we use to run our small art business, including tools that connect to the Etsy and Pinterest APIs.
Wild Fynbos Prints is a sole-operated studio based in South Africa. The tools described here are used by us to manage our own Etsy shop and our own Pinterest business account.
1. Information we collect
- Our own account data. When we connect our own Etsy and Pinterest accounts to our tools, we access data belonging to those accounts — such as our product listings, images, board names, and the analytics Pinterest reports for our own pins (impressions, saves, clicks).
- Website visitors. Our website is a simple informational site. We do not require you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect personal information from visitors beyond standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
2. How we use information
- To prepare, publish, and schedule our own product pins to our own Pinterest business account.
- To review the performance of our own pins so we can improve our marketing.
- To operate and maintain our website.
3. Our use of the Pinterest API
Wild Fynbos Prints uses the Pinterest API to publish and manage our own product pins on our own Pinterest business account. Our use of information received from the Pinterest API adheres to the Pinterest Developer Guidelines, the Pinterest Developer and API Terms of Service, and all applicable Pinterest policies.
- Not affiliated with Pinterest. Wild Fynbos Prints and this website are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc. "Pinterest" is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
- What happens to Pinterest data. Except for campaign analytics information about our own account, we do not store any information accessed through the Pinterest API. Instead, we request it from the API each time we need it, and any transient data is discarded after use.
- No resale or redistribution. We do not sell, rent, transfer, or otherwise redistribute Pinterest content or any Pinterest-derived data to third parties.
- Human-approved publishing. Every pin is reviewed and approved by us before it is published. We do not use the API to generate inauthentic or automated engagement.
4. Our use of the Etsy API
We access our own Etsy shop's listing data solely to prepare and promote our own products. Our use of the Etsy API complies with Etsy's API Terms of Use.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share data obtained from the Etsy or Pinterest APIs with third parties, except as required to operate our own hosting and infrastructure, or where required by law.
6. Data retention
We retain only the limited campaign-analytics information described above, for as long as it is useful for reviewing our marketing, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Other API data is not retained.
7. Security
Access tokens and credentials are stored locally on our own devices and are not shared. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we may hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
